WCG: How are you?

How are you? is a short uplifting animation series that take the individual testimonials from real people who dealt with a long list of mental health problems during the pandemic.

Wester Cape Government had wanted to create a discussion around mental health and how it affected various people during the pandemic. How are you? explores their journey shortly before depression and their path to recovery through its narration and unique art style.

Wessel Mathews, created and storyboarded the art style. Tony Snoek, who was the lead animator that established the art direction as well as the style of the animation and lastly Gerhard Pretorious the lead Creative Director.

The whole series won a Silver Loerie, for Motion Graphic Design.(2021)
